
You can also control the orientation of the page, add text, and do a lot of things with it. You can duplicate the canvas pages, hence, you can create your own template easily.

The "Draw" application allows you to create a series of canvas pages. LibreOffice is a free productivity suite. I don't know if this can fill the role you need but I would use LibreOffice Draw. Apple Photos add-in called Motif (free software, but I cannot see a way to proof my book, via save to PDF).

Similar template issue and I am very unfamilar with these softwares.

Page print size for the book will probably be 12"x12"(30cmsx30cms) but may be larger. I want to proof the albums/books as PDF before I send them to be printed. The images will be of variable size so the layout needs to be flexible. I want to have 15-40 images in the album/book. I want to make some photo books to give to friends.
